Alluring Seduction

by Skye Turner

Jessie Adams

Warning: This book contains explicit language and explosive sex. It is an adult romance and not intended for anyone under the age of 18.

Jessie Adams is the womanizing, lead guitarist for the hottest rock band in the country, Bayou Stix. Seduction is his game. He does what he wants, when he wants, and with whom he wants. Women are playthings, but eventually meaningless sex with groupie after groupie gets old.

Blue Delaney has spent years working nonstop and cultivating her way to being the hottest rock reporter in the business and the lead reporter for Rock Hard Magazine. She’s confident, sexy, and has no time for games.

Jessie loves women and women love him, but something about Blue gets under his skin. She’s not what he’s used to. Blue loves Bayou Stix and is friends with the guys, but something about Jessie pushes her buttons. It doesn’t stop her from wanting him.

When Blue is forced to go on tour with Bayou Stix and cover the band, tensions run high, chemistry is explosive, and Blue and Jessie begin to see each other in a new light. Their attraction is obvious to everyone but them.

But in the end… the question is who’s seducing whom and is chemistry enough to sustain a relationship? Can this fierce woman tame this bad boy rocker? Does she want to?

Review by Brittany

First things first, this novel showed me the writer that Skye Turner really is. She showed much improvement in her writing and struck a chord in me that she didn’t with Alluring Turmoil.Alluring Seduction follows the story of Jessie Adams and Blue Delaney. Jessie is in the rock band, Bayou Stix, and Blue is a reporter that has been asked to follow along on the tour.

Jessie is your typical badboy, manwhore rocker. Long hair, tattooed body, lip ring, conceited attitude. Jessie knows he’s hot, he knows the women want him, and he plays that up for everything it is worth.

Blue, on the other hand, is soft spoken and quiet. She has friends within the band, but Jessie isn’t one of them.

For eight years, Blue and Jessie have been at each other’s throats. Everyone around them realizes that they are supposed to be together, but those two would rather die than admit they have feelings for each other. Imagine what happens when the two get stuck in an elevator, alone, for a couple of hours. Do they give into the sexual tension or do they battle it out?

Skye Turner fell flat with the first novel in the Bayou Stix series, but she really hit the mark with the second installment. The only thing that I feel still needs work would be the plot. It still seems that the characters could use a little more action to drive their feelings for each other home.

Unlike the first novel, I felt that the characters in this novel were who they were meant to be. Throughout the entire novel, I got the badboy vibe from Jessie. I love the relationship between Blue and Jessie. Jessie can be a total ass, but he knows how to treat a woman. I love that all the other boys in the band are like big brothers, not just to Blue, but Lexi and Bradi too.

The only other downside to this novel is that there is too much sex, at least, I thought so. I would get bored; I felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again. But hey, if you like sex, hot sex, then this is for you.

Overall, this was a great improvement for Skye Turner. I have no doubt that her next novel, which follows the story of Liam and Dade’s sister, Clove, will be freaking fantastic. She is quickly improving. I would give this novel four stars out of five. You go, Skye! Can’t wait for the next one!
