Review by Brittany

In the final and exhilarating installment of the Cityscape Series, Olivia deals with her divorce from Bill and begins her new relationship with David. Friendships are severed, relationships are tested, but love always remains strong.

Once Olivia decided that she was no longer happy with Bill, she decided to ask for divorce. Bill’s temper got the best of him more than once, with physical and verbal violence being the outcome.

Olivia realizes that she is happy with David, but is she ready to move on so quickly from Bill? Does Olivia really know everything about David? Most importantly, does she know what she wants as the outcome of this relationship?

“I want everything from you,” he growled, “until you no longer know who the fuck you are because I have every part of you. I’m sick of asking for it, and now I’m taking it.”

Olivia always runs when she’s scared, and this time is no exception. When David brings up the idea of their future, Olivia crawls inside of herself, trying to figure out if David is worth it all.

Jessica Hawkins is just amazing. Five stars, like every other book in this series, for its plot, characters, and sexiness. This chick knows how to write, and believe it or not, she edited these herself. Amazing, because it’s basically free of grammar and punctuation errors!

I loved the story line of this novel. It’s about time that David and Olivia finally got their chance without anything holding them back. I must admit I always felt bad for Bill, but now I know what a douche he is. Like really.

All the characters in this series are dynamic. They all change, they all have an important role, and they all have their own story. Gretchen’s love life is a huge part of this novel, with her ex from college coming back and Brian Ayers trying to wiggle his way inside her heart. Lucy, on the other hand, makes a decision that I was stunned about. I can’t tell you what it is, but I was like, “Really, Lucy? Come on. Fuck.”

This novel has some steamy sex scenes. My personal favorite was the one during which I procured the quote used above. Definitely for readers over eighteen.

As I was nearing the end, I would scream in my head, “Don’t let it be over, don’t let it end, I don’t want it to end!” But, Jessica ended it in a way that left me satisfied and okay with the fact that I probably won’t get more David and Olivia. Great job, Jessica. Fantastic series!
