I was instantly drawn to this series when I first saw the covers, which were very well done. Very sexy, yet sophisticated, and with the unconventional use of a nearly nude woman on the front. I just knew I had to read this.

Olivia Germaine has been married to her husband, Bill Wilson, for three years now. They’ve fallen into a comfortable routine together, working all day separately, but coming together at night. To Olivia, whose life has been filled with heartbreak and loss, Bill is safe.

While on a date with Bill, Olivia finds a pair of dark eyes staring directly at her. She instantly falls under a spell, staring back, trying to escape the inexplicable pull she feels towards this person. For a month straight, her mind is filled with visions of those eyes, and the man they belong to.

Olivia comes to find out that those eyes belong to David Dylan, Chicago’s most famous architect and eligible bachelor. She tries her hardest to stay away from him, to resist the pull that she feels towards him. One night though, it all comes to a head, and she has a split second to make a decision: stay with what’s safe or start a journey that holds a mysterious future.            I would highly recommend this to you if you have read the Temptation series by KM Golland. Or, if you’ve read this series, then go check out the Temptation series. Both are wonderful!

I give this novel five stars for its sexiness, characters, and plot. Jessica Hawkins has an amazing writing style. She can pull you in from the beginning. The sexiness throughout this novel is very sophisticated, which is very hard to find in romance novels these days. Great job with that!

These characters are wonderful. These characters have real jobs; architect, lawyer, assistant editor. I love novels where I feel that I can connect personally with the characters, and this was one of those novels. They have real jobs, real lives, and real struggles.            Jessica has captivated me with the first installment of the Cityscape series. I am excited to start the next one, Come Alive, which, thankfully, is already available!
