Book 2 is filled with happy surprises, devious rednecks, tearful conversations and one heart pounding event that will cause you to scream.

Holy SEALs, Batman. I was once again floored with this book by Theresa Marguerite Hewitt. The second novel in the Wakefield Romance series continues where Two Weeks with a SEAL left off.
Rhea Griggs just said goodbye to her fiancé, Chadwick Payne. He’s off to God knows where, doing God knows what. That’s his job as a Navy SEAL. Rhea is shocked to find out that she’s pregnant, just three weeks after Chad leaves.
Duke Orr, Rhea’s former lover, has been harassing the two lovers for the two weeks that Chad was home. Once Chad leaves, though, Rhea believes that Duke has changed, and against everyone’s better judgment, begins a friendship with him.
On the day that Chad is due to arrive back home, things with Duke turn nasty. Chad’s homecoming couldn’t have been any worse; he returns to US soil with the news that Rhea is in the hospital. Theresa once again receives five stars from me for this military romance. As I said before, I’ve never read a military romance, and this is definitely the series to pop my military romance cherry.
This book is full of suspense. I was actually talking with Theresa, because at one point, I was filled with extreme anger towards a character. Then, a few pages later, I was sad. Another couple of pages later, I was happy again. It’s definitely an emotional roller coaster. This is what I believe makes a book terrific.
I also love that the ending is the beginning of another couple’s story. How cute! While I could so use more Chad and Rhea, I don’t mind getting to know Bobby and Ellie a little more.
