R.D. Cole started writing after she received a concussion from falling off a horse. She faces many challenges every day, yet she can write a story like nobody else can.
Learning to Heal follows the story of Jasmine “Jazz” Coleman and her brother’s best friend Mason Reed. Jasmine became pregnant with her professor’s child, but then found out he was married with children. When Jazz refuses to tell who the baby’s father is, Mason jumps in, claiming it’s his.
Jazz has no other choice but to follow along with this ridiculous idea of Mason’s. When the two get extremely close and eventually find love with each other, the real father comes in and is determined to ruin their lives. Will he be able to succeed in his threat of taking the baby from them?
R.D. Cole had me from the prologue of the first book, Learning to Live. When an author can grip me hard like that from the very beginning, I know I’m in for a treat. This book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I was happy, sad, angry, scared, and then happy again. Mason and Jazz go through an obstacle course before they finally realize they are meant for each other, and I loved going on that journey with them.
The characters are amazing and R.D. makes it so each character has a story, no matter how little. I heard the next book is going to be explosive, especially with how this book ended. I can’t wait!
R.D. Cole is a fantastic writer. I can’t believe I waited so long to read her series. I highly recommend this to everybody. It’s a story of love, struggles, and healing. Like I said, fantastic.
R.D. Cole receives five stars again from me. I can’t wait for Learning to Forgive! Lyric’s story is going to be explosive.
